The Deadliest Weapon of the Twenty-first Century

Muslims are voluntarily handing over their homes, families, cities and countries to their attackers. On the Day of Judgment, all the rich and influential Muslims of our time will be asked as to why they did not use their wealth and influence to counter the ferocious attacks of the media.

Has someone ever considered the fact that media is vividly present with all its razzle dazzle and colourful progra-mmes, even in the most backward and poverty stricken countries of the world where most of the people find it extremely hard to get their daily meals. In the hope of getting higher and higher salaries, popular anchor persons keep on running from one channel to the other, because even in an impoverished country like Pakistan, even the president and the prime minister cannot dream of getting those huge salaries which are paid to the anchor persons. It is almost incomprehensible as to how a poor country can afford to spend twenty-four billion rupees annually on commercials. However, if we view our country or any other country within the global perspective, it becomes easier for us to understand the whole story of the resources and other mysterious features of the media which is ruling and controlling the whole world in an invisible manner. It is the most powerful weapon of the twenty-first century which can be used for the destruction of civilizations, corruption of ethical values and purchase of politicians. It can most effectively be employed for describing someone as criminal, corrupt and fundamentalist; and someone else as wise, prudent and competent.

Almost eighty years ago, corporate media was founded and introduced to the whole world as professional journalism, with the highly fascinating slogan of freedom of expression. It was nurtured with the blood of commercials and later on, when it was mature enough to play with the minds of the people and gained an unrestricted access to all homes, it was taken into control and began to be used like nuclear weapons for achieving some specific objectives. The growth of the controlled media was astonishingly rapid. In 1983, the world media was owned by fifty corporations. But after the buying and selling of only 19 years in 2002, it went into the hands of only nine corporations. In 2007, the whole media of the world became the possession of only five companies. Media, which is the deadliest weapon of our time, is now owned by only three companies, which are successfully using it throughout the world for creating the political leadership of their own choice, promoting the ethical values of their own liking and encouraging the social and cultural values which are suited to their own vested interests. They can take anyone to the pinnacles of glory and dump anyone into the abyss of disgrace and humiliation. They are the king makers and the real rulers of the world. One of these three companies is Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation.

he global media controlled by Murdoch and other such few people has a specific agenda and clearly defined policy, the cornerstone of which is to create universal hatred for Islam and Muslims by projecting them as terrorists, extremists and luxurious and the greatest threat for world peace.
TRupert Murdoch who was born on March 11, 1931, in the Australian city of Melbourne, inherited the germs of journalism from his father Sir Keith Murdoch, who was a successful journalist of his time. At school, Rupert became the editor of the school magazine and later, worked as a part time journalist in the ‘Melbourne Herald’. After studying Economics, Philosophy and Political Science, he became the sub-editor of ‘daily Express’ and at the age of 22, after the death of his father, became the owner of his media company News Limited. It was the year 1953 and by that time, the foundation of corporate media had been laid. Rupert began the expansion of his business with the purchase of the newspapers of Australia and New Zealand and later in 1969; he bought the British newspapers ‘News Of The World’ and ‘The Sun’, and made them the most popular newspapers of that country. In 1974, he proceeded to the United States and became busy in the further expansion of his media empire. Times Magazine and Twentieth Century Fox were bought by him in 1981 and 1985 respectively. In 1986, Rupert got US citizenship and in 1989, he became the owner of ‘Harper Collins’. The prestigious Wall Street Journal was also bought by him in 2007. With these highly successful ventures, he considerably increased his business influence in South America and then, turned his attention towards Asia, where in 1993, he bought Star TV Network, which was the first TV network that reached Pakistan through dish antenna. With the passage of time, our own local media which was so decent, cultured and civilized has been irreparably damaged and destroyed by the huge influx of dish and cable dramas.

In a recent interview, Gordon Duff has revealed that Rupert Murdoch is a diehard Jew and also has Israeli citizenship, although he was born in Australia. He himself has admitted that for the last twenty years, he has been exercising full control over the British and American politics. The American FBI and British intelligence agencies are investigating allegations that for a long time, Rupert Murdoch has been taping the phone calls of common people as well as prominent politicians. Bribing and blackmailing important personalities has become a routine practice for him. It is said that in Israel, he is more influential than Netanyahu and as the owner of Fox News, he has been regularly assisting the Israeli intelligence agencies in spreading their spying network. By means of his media empire, he has enabled the Jewish lobby to control the US Congress and British Parliament in an effective manner.

The global media controlled by Murdoch and other such few people has a specific agenda and clearly defined policy, the cornerstone of which is to create universal hatred for Islam and Muslims by projecting them as terrorists, extremists and luxurious and the greatest threat for world peace. Murdock and other media tycoons tell their journalists to hate intelligent and talented people and if an educated and talented Muslim becomes prominent, they must use all their means to disgrace, discredit and defame him through his character assassination. Media magnates like Murdock believe that for the promotion of their racist policies, the trust of the people in their leaders who are talented by birth must be shattered. They are of the view that culture can be destroyed by four things: mechanical music, scandals, wrong sexual incentives and the continuous circulation of false, fictitious and highly sensational rumours and conspiracies. Now-a-days, Pakistan has become a prime target of such conspiracy theories and rumour mongering. For instance, the whole media of the world is continuously and repeatedly saying that Pakistan will soon break up. It has become the hub of international terrorism and its nuclear programme is a major threat for the world peace. To make matters worse, all such baseless rumours and conspiracy theories are regularly discussed and debated in the talk shows of our TV channels.

With the help of the most lethal weapon called media, the whole world has declared war against the Muslims and is carrying out relentless attacks on their religion, culture, civilization and values.
Several huge books are required to narrate his long and horrifying story. Media is the product of corporate culture. But why and from where does it get so much money and what are its real objectives? Murdock’s story answers all such questions. Such media bosses and masters of the corporate world do not allow their weakest media to lose its power, influence and glamour even in the poorest countries of the world. They go on supplying fresh blood to it in the form of capital. In this way, media which can rightly be described as the nuclear weapon of the twenty-first century, continues its destructive activities everywhere and all the time. One and a half billion Muslims of the world, including many millionaires and billionaires, are the main target of this deadly weapon. But it is amazing to note that they never take any notice of it, although their homes are constantly under its attack. They continue to believe that their nuclear capability can strengthen their defense. But if homes, families, traditions, moral, spiritual, religious, social and cultural values are completely ravaged, what would be the use of attempting to defend the country and the Ummah? With the help of the most lethal weapon called media, the whole world has declared war against the Muslims and is carrying out relentless attacks on their religion, culture, civilization and values. But instead of launching a counter offensive by means of some equally effective and powerful weapon, Muslims are voluntarily handing over their homes, families, cities and countries to their attackers. On the Day of Judgment, all the rich and influential Muslims of our time will be asked as to why they did not use their wealth and influence to counter the ferocious attacks of the media. Will they be able to give a satisfactory answer to this question?
