The leaders of the Islamic world must establish high quality think-tank to frustrate the evil designs of US and its allies and for the welfare, development and prosperity of Islamic world.
The Islamic world came under siege of United States in view of its considered long-term strategy. Political science professor of Haward University Samuel Huntington wrote his renowned book ‘Clash of Civilization’ in which he highlighted the division of Muslim world and its cold war with the west. The US 9/11 policy is the extension of its old policy which was established after World War II to dominate the world, particularly the Islamic world. After World War II, the State Department set up a committee headed by George Kennan to prepare a confidential report on future foreign policy of US. This report was declassified few years ago which reveals US designs.
‘We have about 50 per cent of the world’s wealth, but only 6.3 per cent of its population. In this situation, we cannot fail to be the object of envy and resentment. Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationship which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity without positive detriment to our national security. To do so we will have to dispense with all sentimentality and day-dreaming; and our attention will have to be concentrated everywhere on our immediate national objectives’ We need not deceive ourselves that we can afford the luxury of altruism and world-benefaction’ We should cease to talk about vague and’ unreal objectives such as human rights, the raising of living standards, and democratization. The day is not far off when we will have to deal in straight power concepts. The less we are then hampered by idealistic slogans, the better. [FRUS: Review of Current Trends Feb. 1948]
The US and its allies could not keep its colonies due to economic constraints so they decided to give independence to the colonies, however the policy of neo-colonialism was framed. Kwame Nkrumah describes this policy in the following beautiful worlds: ‘Neo-colonialism is’ the worst from of imperialism. For those who practise it, it means power without responsibility, and for those who suffer from it, it means exploitation without redress. In the days of old-fashioned colonialism, the imperial power had at least to explain and justify at home the actions it was taking abroad. In the colony those who served the ruling imperial power could at least look to its protection against any violent move by their opponents. With neo-colonialism neither is the case. [Kwame Nkrumah: The Neo-Colonialism the Last Stage of Imperialism]
The US and west depend on their propaganda machinery to dominate the world stage. During cold war ‘Russian Threat’ and ‘World Peace in Danger’ were its popular slogans. The ‘terrorism’ is new imperial slogan to keep the Islamic world under siege.
The war on terrorism is part of grand strategy which was designed before 9/11 tragedy. The blueprint was approved by George Bush in 2001. Armstrong revealed the grand strategy in 2002.
‘The blueprint, uncovered by the Sunday Herald, for the creation of a ‘Global Pax Americana’ was drawn up for Dick Cheney (now Vice-President), Donald Rumsfeld (defence secretary), Paul Wolfowitz (Rumsfeld’s deputy), George W. Bush’s younger brother Jeb and Lewis Libby (Cheney’s chief of staff): The document, entitled ‘Rebuilding American’s Defenses: Strategies, Forces and Resources For A New Century,’ was written in September 2000 by the neo-conservative think-tank Project for the New American Century (PNAC).’ [Mackay Neil, Sunday Herald, 15 Sep 2002]
According to confidential memorandum of US petroleum division the oil policy was jointly adopted by US and UK.
‘Our petroleum policy towards the United Kingdom is predicated on a mutual recognition of a very extensive joint interest and control, at least for the moment, of the great bulk of the free petroleum of the world’ US-UK agreement upon the broad, forward-looking pattern for the development and utilization of petroleum resources under the control of nationals of the two countries is of the highest strategic and commercial importance.’
The US openly intervened in Islamic countries to get its control through agents and treated friends and foes alike for US dominance.
‘It will take its ultimate form, though, as America’s new national security strategy’ The Plan is for the United States to rule the world. The overt theme is unilateralism, but it is ultimately a story of domination. It calls for the United States to maintain its overwhelming superiority and prevent new rivals from rising up to challenge it on the world stage. It calls for dominion over friends and enemies alike. It says not that the United States must be more powerful, or most powerful, but that it must be absolutely powerful.’ [David Armstrong: Dick Cheney’s song of America: Drafting a plan for global dominance Harper Magazine]
An expert of security and intelligence George Friedman expressed the US designs in his article.
The United States will be able to reach into any country in the region with covert forces based in Iraq, and Washington could threaten overt interventions as well. It would need no permission from regional hosts for the use of facilities, so long as either Turkey or Kuwait will permit trans-shipment into Iraq. In short, a US victory will change the entire balance of power in the region, from a situation in which the United States must negotiate its way to war to a situation where the United States is free to act as it will’ The conquest of Iraq will not be a minor event in history. It will represent the introduction of a new imperial power to the Middle East and a redefinition of regional geopolitics based on that power. The United States will move from being an outside power influencing events through coalitions to a regional power that is able to operate effectively on its own.’ [George Friedman, The Region After Iraq, weekly Stratfor, 5 Feb 2003]
Micher Chossudovsky exposed the US intention in his article entitled ‘US Hidden Agenda’. ‘Even though Afghanistan is not endowed with oil and gas, its strategic location provides the avenue for US oil companies to build their pipeline without having to make inroads into Iran and former Soviet Union countries.’
The Middle East expert Ian Lustick wrote about 9/11 and Iraq.
‘What happened was 9/11, which had nothing to do with Iraq but produced an enormous amount of political capital which allowed the government to do anything it wanted as long as they could relate it to national security and the Middle East?’
These declassified and confidential reports clearly demonstrate the US intentions towards Islamic world. The US and West consider Islamic world future threat to its global interests. The geopolitical location of Middle East countries and Afghanistan and Pakistan is very vital for US national interest so the US would like to keep the oil and gas resources under tight control. The US can contain rising China, India and old rival Russia from the US bases in the Islamic World.
The leaders of the Islamic world must establish high quality think-tank to frustrate the evil designs of US and its allies and for the welfare, development and prosperity of Islamic world.
