Then I earned the degrees of BSc (Hons.) and MPhil in Agriculture Sciences from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: As you know everyone starts dreaming of a future career in childhood, what were your dreams? Did you always aspire to be a PMS Officer?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> I wanted to be a doctor but when I couldn&#8217;t secure admission to medical college, I decided to go for competitive exams. My teacher Dr Ehsanul Haq Zia (also a PMS officer) appreciated my intention and guided me through my preparation for PMS exam. And, by the grace of Allah Almighty, I successfully got through it and got a prominent position as well.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: What feature of PMS exam attracted you most?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> It was actually the diversity of Service as well as the opportunities of self-learning it provides.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: How much helpful did you find Jahangir&#8217;s World Times (JWT) during your preparation?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> JWT has been of great help to me during my preparation for PMS exam. In this magazine, different issues are discussed at length by eminent writers. As far as General Knowledge paper is concerned, relying solely on books of MCQs isn&#8217;t going to do the trick. Detailed understanding of different topics is vital to get high score in this very paper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: What was your strategy for securing good marks in compulsory papers?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> I studied many books written by different authors in order to get diverse opinions. Moreover, I did not rely on anyone else&#8217;s notes; rather I prepared my own notes in case of all the subjects.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: How should one choose one&#8217;s optional subjects? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> The matter of selecting optional subjects for PMS exam is of critical importance because securing good marks and, for that matter, success largely depends on prudent selection of those. In my opinion, candidates must not rely on scoring trends of the subjects rather they should opt for those subjects which they feel compatible with.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT:\u00a0 Who deserves the credit for your success? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> Firstly, this is all because of Allah&#8217;s countless blessings. After thanking the Almighty, I would dedicate my success to my parents and other members of my family for their invaluable support, and my friends for their guidance that was of great help during this journey.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: How did you prepare your notes?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> I prepared my notes by picking out key points from the books I studied during the course of my preparations. When exam approached nearer, I read those key points only.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT: What, in your opinion, were the mistakes you made in your last attempt?<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> I think it was wrong selection of Social Work as an optional subject as I relied solely on the scoring trend of this paper and completely ignored that I don&#8217;t have a sound background in this subject. However, it doesn&#8217;t, in any case, mean that it&#8217;s not a good optional subject.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">JWT:\u00a0 In order to get excellent marks, how one should write the answers? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">ZN:<\/span> Quality always matters in writing the answers to various questions asked. In my opinion, your answer should be precise and to the point. In pursuit of your dream of joining the Provincial management Service, move forward with patience and consistency. Your study should be well-directed and syllabus-bound as doing things haphazardly will not bear fruit.
