Did you always aspire to be a CSP officer? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong><\/span> Well, I had been hearing about CSS since my childhood as there are a number of government officers in my family. However, it was during my first year at the university when I finally made up my mind to pursue CSS as a career.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>JWT: Why you didn&#8217;t choose banking or finance as your future career? What&#8217;s the reason behind going for CSS instead? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong> <\/span>Honestly, CSS provides you with unique opportunities not only for your personal development but also for empowering you for making decisions that affect the lives of your compatriots. I believe, if one wants to improve things, one must be in the system, not outside of it. That&#8217;s why right after my graduation, I started preparing for CSS. It was only after my attempt in CE-2014 that I joined State Bank of Pakistan as Assistant Director.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">JWT: How much helpful did you find Jahangir&#8217;s World Times (JWT) during your preparation? <\/span><\/strong><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #800000;\">NRS:<\/span> <\/strong>JWT has been very helpful during my CSS preparation. It provides one with the sum total of all the latest and relevant developments in an easy-to-digest manner and also helps with optional subjects. What technique and strategy did you follow for these crucial papers? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong> <\/span>In my opinion, compulsory subjects are low-scoring only to those aspirants who do not devote sufficient time and energy for a smart preparation of these subjects. Compulsory subjects require a deep knowledge and understanding for which aspirants must consult different books and do in-depth analyses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>JWT: How do you see the revision of syllabus for CSS exam 2016 and onwards? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong><\/span> It&#8217;s a very promising change \u2014 and a long-overdue as well \u2014 as it will provide aspirants with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge as well skills across a variety of areas which will assist them a lot later in the performance of their duties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>JWT: What were the toughest and the easiest parts in the whole justify process of CSS exam? \u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong> <\/span>The toughest part, as I found it, during the whole process of CSS is to remain consistent. It&#8217;s really a formidable task and requires a lot of patience and endurance. There are times during the process when you feel tired, but you must remain persistent because the career it offers is worth all efforts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>JWT: You also got impressive marks in interview. How it fared? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong><\/span> Honestly, the interview was a smooth sail and I had positive vibes after it. I answered questions with conviction and made no generalizing statements. The interview began with the reasons of why I wanted to join PAS and abandon my career at State Bank of Pakistan. Later, the panel focused on economy of Pakistan and put questions like what ails our economy and which measures are required to stabilize it. Foreign policy of Pakistan and various issues related to it at that point of time also came under discussion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>JWT:\u00a0 Who deserves the credit for your success? <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>NRS:<\/strong> <\/span>I would like to thank Allah Almighty for bestowing His countless blessings upon me. After that I believe that my parents and my mentor late professor Manzoor Mirza deserve the credit for my success as they have been a source of continual support for me during all this process and my success would not have been possible without their prayers and guidance. Lastly, my dear friend Waleed Baig also deserves the credit since he was always there for me during my CSS journey. Since you are your own judge during this journey, you must not lose your focus and should plan all the way breaking your schedule into smaller parts.
