When the foreigners and the tourists took to the voluptuous scenery and the breathtaking sights of the nature\u2019s charisma. When terrorism was a term unknown to Pakistanis. The cerebration of dereliction and nonchalance is censorious in defining today\u2019s plight of the nation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">What on earth guarantees happiness? Wealth, riches, education, degrees, fame? Yay? Why then the world is sombre? Why are there not roses, roses all the way? Our world has made strident progress; it has transmuted in a global village and that it has become a replica of a global integrity and harmony\u2014the rhetoric reverberates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sooth be told, the state of affairs of the world has even mince mattered. The materialism has proved next to nothing. Adding cherries on the top of the cake is that the morality, ethics and sophistication have devastatingly tottered. The impingement of technology is far more baneful. Sitting in a same room, the fellow beings don\u2019t bother to exchange courtesies. Ipso facto, the inhabitants of the planet suffer the turpitude of tranquillity and serenity.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Why have bygone the days when lack of civic sense was not flamboyant; when traffic rules and road safety measures were appreciated; when urbanity was deep entrenched; when the elders were set great store by the youngsters; when the neighbours were the sympathizers of the thick and thin; when playing in the streets with the amigos was just fail-safe; when we had more time to spend with our kith and kin than squandering over social media; when approaching the high-ups and the influentials for the petty chores was undeserved; when Ramadan and Eid brought the message of revel and blessing and the people used to heave a sigh of relief when the prices of basic commodities experienced this low (although the government has launched worth eulogizing steps as relief packages during Ramadan but some mafia are hell bent to break the balls of the public.); when every individual had kind and sympathetic disposition toward the other fellows and not to cheat, discombobulate and blackmail in any respect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">They say that prosperous Pakistan is a fool\u2019s paradise. Nay! We\u2019ve kept our pecker up. Candidly, the other side of the picture is usually converse. The magnanimous nation has always been on the front when the humanity is calamity-stricken during floods, earthquakes and other disasters. They always look sharp when it comes to meet any emergency; be it suicide attacks, larceny and other evils. Their heart is always in the right place when the country needs titillation and rhapsody in the phases of crucial cricket matches, world cups and other emotionally-bound moments. They stick to their colours while breaking the world records having earned most \u2018A\u2019 grades (Ali Moeen Nawazish). They present a softer image of Pakistan by winning \u201cNobel Peace Prize\u201d (Malala Yousafzai). They raise our high heads when they win Oscars (Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy). It is stupendous to notice when our brilliant becomes \u2018youngest Microsoft Professional\u2019 (Arfa Kareem Randhawa). They embrace martyrdom while safeguarding the fellows and retaliating the terrorists during school hours (Aitzaz Hassan).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Let the policymakers formulate policies.<br \/>\nCome, let us do nation building!<br \/>\nBecause the popular saying whispers \u2018Vox populi, vox dei\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Constitution making, formulation of laws and implementation of rules and policies are the assignment of the ruling elite. We; the savants, the philosophers, the professionals, the intellectuals, the fireballs, and we the nation; bear the onus of precluding the iron age.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nation building is a multifarious phenomenon.\u00a0 Pettifogging about the issues, ad nauseum, is not worth a while.<br \/>\n\u201cGod gives the youth but once; keep thou\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">So is the saying. Our youth is ebullient. Their energetic temperament and tenacious approach is critical in the development and progress of the country. The fruitful application and implication of the degrees earned, in the professional fields for the melioration of the country\u2019s straits is of great import.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It\u2019s time we got united. If we don\u2019t want to stew in our own juice, some faults are urgently needed to be rectified by ourselves. Blame game is prolific in the interest of no one. Devil-may-care attitude is strictly gratuitous. The line of least resistance toward alleviating the morose is that everyone pledges \u201cPhysicians, heal thyself\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Come, let us soothe the humanity. Come, let us be the \u2018salt of the earth\u2019. Let us exult with those who have long forgotten mirth, felicity and joi de vivre.
