Pakistan is full of breathtaking locations which will make you fall in love with this country all over again. From the mighty peaks of the Himalayas to the sandy, white beaches of the Arabia Sea, our country is rich in natural beauty, culture and history. Over the years, thanks to an improvement in the security situation and increased accessibility, a lot of these spots, previously unknown, have become tourist hotspots.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s celebrate all the wonderful places our country has to offer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Deosai<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Deosai\"<\/a>\u2018Deosai\u2019 which translates to \u2018The Land of Giants\u2019 is a high-altitude alpine plain located largely within the Skardu District in Gilgit-Baltistan. at no point it is less than 4000 meters above sea level. It remains covered with snow for 8 months. The rest of the year, it hosts a range of beautiful flowers of all hues and colours, but not a single tree is found in this plateau spread over 3000 sq. km. Sheosar lake is also part of this. This lake is one of the highest lakes in the world. The area is also home to the brown bear.<\/p>\n

Naltar<\/strong> Valley<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Naltar<\/a>Naltar, a valley near Gilgit, Hunza and Nomal, in the Gilgit\u2013Baltistan, is popular for its three lakes which boast vivid colours of blue and green. Naltar is a forested region known for its dramatic mountain scenery and towering high peaks. The area is also known for its Ski Resort which hosts ski competitions regularly. World\u2019s tastiest potatoes are cultivated here. Covered with pine trees, this valley doesn\u2019t seem to be a part of this world.<\/p>\n

Neelum Valley <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Neelum<\/a>The picturesque Neelam Valley is the northernmost region and district of Azad Kashmir in Pakistan. The valley is dotted with quaint villages and towns which make the perfect retreats away from the hustling and bustling of city life. It hosts several brooks, freshwater streams, forests, lush green mountains, and a river. ere, you see cataracts falling down the mountains; their milky-white waters flowing over the roads and splashing against the rocks, before commingling with the muddy waters of River Neelum. The River Neelum meanders through the valley, the water making soft sounds as well as soothing the eyes.<\/p>\n

Lahore<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Lahore\"<\/a>Though Lahore doesn\u2019t appear to be a tourist spot, the provincial capital is rich in history which dates back to the Mughal era, making it the perfect place for all those interested in history. Monuments and buildings dating back to the Mughals including the Lahore Fort, Badshahi Masjid, Wazir Khan Masjid and Shalimar Gardens are popular tourist spots. Moreover, buildings from the British era including Governor House, Quaid-e-Azam Library and Railway Station are also an integral part of the city\u2019s history.<\/p>\n

The mouth-watering dishes and food the city has to offer is also close to none. And as the locals say, \u201cWhoever hasn\u2019t seen Lahore, isn\u2019t born.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>Taxila<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Taxila\"<\/a>Taxila meaning \u201cCity of Cut Stone\u201d is an important archaeological site situated a few kilometres north-west of the capital, Islamabad. The city dates back to c. 1000 BCE and in its glory days was one of the main cities of the ancient Kingdom of Gandhara. What makes Taxila unique and fascinating is the mainly Buddhist art and architecture of the Gandharan period. The city is dotted with monasteries and stupas which provide a unique insight into Buddhism as well.<\/p>\n

Derawar Fort<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Derawar<\/a>Built in the 9th Century, the historic Derawar Fort, is a large square fortress located a few hundred kilometres south of Bahawalpur in the heart of the Cholistan Desert. The fort is an architectural marvel featuring massive bastions.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Cholistan Desert is rich in culture and tradition. The dry bed of the Hakra River runs through the area, along which many settlements of the Indus Valley Civilization have been found.<\/p>\n

Kund Malir Beach<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Kund<\/a>Kund Malir is a beach in Balochistan, Pakistan located in Hingol National Park. The drive between Kund Malir and Ormara is considered to be scenic. The area is part of Hingol National Park which is the largest in Pakistan.<\/p>\n

The Princess of Hope is also located in the area which is rich in flora and fauna and also has mud volcanoes.<\/p>\n

Mubarak Village Karachi<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\"Mubarak<\/a>Mubarak remains the second largest fishermen village in Karachi. Bordering with Gadani (Balochistan), the landscape encircles a stark contrast of golden hills and turquoise clear waters.<\/p>\n

Away from the city frenzy, this place welcomes you with a lot of love. As soon as you park near the shore, numerous boats are anchored floating on crystal clear waters, beneath the expansive blue sky.<\/p>\n

\"Gorak<\/a><\/p>\n

Snowfall in Sindh \u2014 sounds more like fantasy but no, there\u2019s one place in Sindh where it really snows in winter, to the extent that in 2008 the mountains got entirely covered with a layer of snow.<\/p>\n

Gorakh is a scenic plateau situated at a height of over 5,688 feet and is part of the Kirthar Mountain Range that covers the entire Sindh\u2019s border with Balochistan in the west.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
